Environmental Leaders

As Year 6 Environmental Leaders, we play an important role in helping to care for our school and its surroundings.

We consider the environment and the school grounds carefully and look for ways to improve them. We do regular litter picks to help wildlife and to make the school look tidy and welcoming for everyone.

We are pleased that the school has recently installed solar panels, which help the school to be more environmentally friendly. We also plant bulbs around the school to make the grounds look welcoming and to encourage insects to visit.

As Environmental Leaders, we help to look after our school wildlife nature pond and make sure it remains a safe habitat for animals.

In the future, we are hoping to install a school allotment garden this summer so that pupils can learn more about growing plants and caring for the environment.
